Motor Rhythms is an innovative and industrial percussion library designed from authentic automobile parts, handcrafted by musician and mechanic Jordan Hill. Each piece was carefully selected, welded, and recorded using close and far microphone positions to capture deep, organic textures. This Kontakt-powered instrument transforms raw automotive materials into playable drum sounds, offering a truly unique and creative rhythmic palette.
Instruments & Articulations
This library includes 34 distinct instruments with 85 individually playable articulations, including:
- Kick Drums: 2 gas tank bass drums
- Snares & Hi-Hats: Coolant tank snare drum, fly-wheel hi-hats ("fly-hats")
- Toms & Percussion: Brake drums, air cleaner cover gongs, oil can gong, washer fluid tank toms
- Metallic Sounds: Pulley bells, transmission bells, chimes, air tube cowbells, temple blocks
