A Unique and Fascinating Instrument
The U is a handcrafted glissy steel lamellophone created by Bart Hopkin, a renowned inventor of unique musical instruments. This instrument has a fascinating design with 14 tines per note, arranged in octaves and fifths, creating a liquid, metallic timbre that is perfect for experimental compositions. Played with a thin stick-like plectrum, it produces an evocative, shimmering sound with endless potential for creative exploration.
