Whether it’s strings, glass, stone, membranes, or even your own custom samples, the granular engine enables you to create lush, organic timbres that can defy time and pitch, while retaining the pristine character of the original sound. STRAYLIGHT makes it easy to magnify small sounds into vast sonic landscapes without losing clarity or character. Risers, transitions, and other dynamic effects can automatically adapt to your project’s tempo, making it an ideal tool for real-time sound design and cinematic performance.
Real-Time Modulation and Effects
STRAYLIGHT provides deep modulation and effect options for intuitive, expressive sound design. Its X-Y modulation matrix offers precise control over intensity and timing, allowing for real-time performance directly synced with your project. Up to 14 different effects can be applied, ranging across filters, dynamics, EQs, gaters, drivers, delays, utilities, and reverbs. The instrument also features classic effects like chorus, flanger, and phaser from the renowned MOD PACK, as well as specially captured reverb impulse responses designed to complement the audio content and granular engine.
Customizable Workflow
Thanks to STRAYLIGHT’s flexible sound sources, you can easily modulate parameters for personalizing granular and sample layers. Randomization tools are built-in to help generate new sounds quickly, while the tempo-synced grain cursor speeds ensure that transitions and risers are always perfectly timed.
